Novare Group
Twelve® Centennial Park
Over the past three years Highland Engineering has provided Civil, Survey and in some cases Environmental Engineering Services for 11 new hi-rises in the urban area of Atlanta Georgia. Highland provided all Preliminary and Final Engineering Services along with LDP Permitting for the new Twelve® Centennial Park mixed-use development in downtown Atlanta. Additionally we are providing Survey Services as this project enters its 2nd phase to final completion. Twelve® Centennial Park located at 400 W. Peachtree St., Atlanta is being developed by one of the nation’s premier urban luxury hi-rise developers, Novare Group. When both phases are completed in 2008 this luxury twin residential tower and hotel property will be home to 992 new residences, a 136 room luxury hotel, 5,000 square feet of restaurant/bar space, 10,000 square feet of office and 15,000square feet of retail space with all of the amenities for which Novare communities are noted.

Southeast Capital Partners (SECP)
The Gramercy - Atlanta
Southeast Capital Partners (SECP) recently selected the Civil Engineering Department of Highland Engineering, Inc. to finish the civil work on Phase One and start the civil work for Phase Two of Gramercy, SEC’s latest townhome development in the Perimeter Mall area. Gramercy encompasses approximately 8 acres and will have a total of 149 townhomes at completion. Each Phase will have approximately 4 acres. Gramercy is located near Southeast Capital Partner’s successful and recently completed project in Perimeter East called The Manhattan which is the first hi-rise residential development in the Dunwoody-Perimeter Mall area. Highland Engineering, Inc. is pleased to have been involved with The Manhattan and now with Gramercy for Southeastern Capital Partners.
C. W. Matthews Contracting Company, Inc.
Douglasville Asphalt Plant
Recently C. W. Matthews Contracting Company, Inc. retained Highland Engineering’s Mining Department to provide developments plans for their Douglasville asphalt plant. The documents provided consisted of grading and drainage plans, stormwater analysis report, erosion and sedimentation control plans, landscape plans and utility plans. Highland Engineering, Inc. secured permits for land disturbance and septic system installation. This project is currently in the process of being constructed and will be operational in the near future.

Trammell Crow Residential
Riverplace-Mixed-use Development Atlanta
Trammell Crow Residential retained Highland Engineering’s Civil and Environmental departments to provide Phase I Survey and Assessment, grading and drainage plans, erosion and stormwater runoff, planning of roadways, preliminary site layout, underground utilities and obtain all necessary documentation for a Land Disturbance Permit for their new development called Riverplace. Highland will have ongoing responsibilities as this project nears completion. Riverplace is the latest edition of mixed-use developments by Trammel Crow Residential. Located on Powers Ferry close to Ray’s on the River, Riverplace will have 110 Townhomes, 284 condominium residences, 40 condominium flats in two buildings and 10 carriage homes with a clubhouse and amenity area on 29 acres.

Lafarge Building Materials, Inc.
Glenwood Avenue Concrete Batch Plant
Lafarge Building Materials, Inc. has retained Highland Engineering’s Mining and Environmental Engineering departments to provide development plans for their concrete batch plant at Glenwood Ave. site in the City of Atlanta. The provided documents consisted of grading and drainage plans, stormwater analysis report, erosion and sedimentation control plans, landscape plans and utility plans. Highland Engineering, Inc. secured permits for land disturbance and the construction of the buildings. This project is currently in operation.

Water Quality Best Managements Practices for the Aggregate Mining Industry
The Environmental Engineering Department of Highland Engineering is currently in the process of completing the Water Quality Best Managements Practices for the Aggregate Mining Industry. Chris Brown, Department Head is authoring the document. The objective of the manual is to provide those participating in the aggregate mining industry with the regulatory requirements and benefits of water quality. In addition this manual provides a description of the practical application of best management practices (BMPS) for improved water quality from both point source (process water) and non-point source (soil erosion and stream sedimentation) waters typically generated on aggregate mining facilities.

Highland Engineering, Inc. provided conceptual planning/engineering, preliminary engineering, final engineering, permitting and stormwater management for The Worthing Companies newest Atlanta luxury apartment development called THE Heights Armour. This luxury apartment community is situated on +8.2 acres directly across from a Marta Station at 415 Amour Drive, Atlanta, GA. The development boasts 372 one and two-bedroom apartment homes and lofts. All apartments and lofts have the availability of on-site fold and dry laundry with a valet dry cleaning service and housekeeping service. The residences feature stainless steel GE™ appliances, granite countertops and numerous other luxury features the market has come to expect from a Worthing development.
